I’ve done both and the GAMES were not what wiped out district 13. How specific are we being about syntax?

And what happened to district 12 again? What was that a result of? I suppose the context depends on whether the question was supposed to be referring only to the games, or to the entire scenario.

Except Battle Royale did not have an entire district wiped out or a large-scale war started because of it. I daresay that in the end, the Hunger Games had a much higher death toll over all.
